Season one targets Marshall Freeman, sociopathic leader of a Scientology-like cult who is chased out of San Diego by the Department of Justice. Alerted by a mole that Freeman and his crew are fleeing to Singapore, the Opportunist and his team seduce, beguile and ensnare Freeman in an elaborate web of intrigue and avarice, ultimately fleecing him for a cool $1.6 billion.
